West Ham United FC have released a statement condemning those responsible for "homophobic chanting" during the recent away fixture at Chelsea.
It was revealed on Thursday that the club were facing an FA charge after a small group of travelling fans were recorded singing an offensive chant at Stamford Bridge last month.
And in reply, West Ham United FC have revealed the will be accepting the charge.
"The club will be admitting the charge issued by The Football Association, following the conduct of supporters at the Premier League away fixture at Chelsea on Monday 3 February 2025," read a brief statement published on the club's website.
"Homophobic chanting, which in this case amounted to the commission of a criminal offence, is not consistent with the values and beliefs of West Ham United and the vast majority of the club’s supporters.
"Those identified will, in addition to any criminal charges they face, be issued with club bans.
"The club unequivocally condemns all forms of offensive and discriminatory conduct and remains committed to working with The FA and all relevant stakeholders to eradicate such behaviour to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all supporters."
