FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons signed tight end Teagan Quitoriano, the organization announced Friday.
Quitoriano comes to Atlanta as a free agent from the Houston Texans. He was originally a 2022 fifth-round draft pick for Houston, and though he spent a brief time with the Chicago Bears last season, all his active work has been with the Texans.
As a Texans rookie, Quitoriano played in nine games, starting six, and caught seven of his 14 targets for 113 yards and two touchdowns. He averaged 16.1 yards per reception.
In 2023, Quitoriano appeared in seven games, starting five. He caught two of his three targets for 33 yards, averaging 16.5 yards per reception.
Quitoriano again played in seven games in 2024, starting four, but did not record any stats.
A possible concern for the Falcons is [Quitoriano’s injury history](https://atozsports.com/nfl/chicago-bears-news/bears-sign-teagan-quitoriano-to-the-practice-squad/). He has spent time on injured reserve in each of his three seasons so far. His knee was the issue in 2022. He underwent surgery to repair a groin and oblique injury in 2023. And his calf caused problems in 2024.
Regardless, Quitoriano joins a tight end room in Atlanta that currently features Kyle Pitts, Charlie Woerner and Feleipe Franks.
