Everton are in the market to sign a new striker this summer to bolster David Moyes’ options.

There remains uncertainty surrounding some of Everton’s current options amid these final months of the campaign.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin looks set to leave Everton as he is expected to change agents ahead of the summer.

And then there is Armando Broja who will return to Chelsea following a seriously frustrating campaign hindered by injury issues.

Moyes is in need of more reliable options to select going into Bramley-Moore Dock with the Friedkins tasking their new recruitment set-up to find a new striker.

Everton monitoring 6ft 7″ striker Lorenzo Lucca

Going into the Friedkins’ first summer window, Everton are looking to sign a new striker among a number of other players.

Speaking to Everton News, TBR Football’s Chief Transfer Correspondent Graeme Bailey has shone some light on Everton’s interest in Lorenzo Lucca.

The Toffees have been monitoring the 6ft 7″ striker who has recently made his debut for the Italian national side.

However, it is understood Everton are not the only Premier League side with Lucca on their radar; West Ham United and Crystal Palace are also showing an interest.

With Beto’s form dipping over recent weeks, there is certainly a spot in the Everton starting XI to be claimed over the summer.

Lorenzo Lucca tipped to be a ‘special’ player

It is very rare to see an outfielder so tall, with the natural comparison drawing to the former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch.

However, Lucca is considerably stronger than Crouch, with a much better physical build to him than the former Premier League target man.

Speaking on The Italian Football Podcast, Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye waxed lyrical about his side’s striker.

“For me, he is already a top-level striker, but like myself, we are young and we have to work on a lot of stuff,” he said.

“I’m sure he will be there [top-level] sooner or later. He has all the qualities, the special height not every striker is two metres tall. And still, he has the ability of a striker who is not that tall. He’s a very special player.”
