Arsenal and Real Madrid squad for UCL quarterfinals

Arsenal and Real Madrid will be getting ready to meet in the first leg of the last eight in April.

Real Madrid will be ready to face Arsenal

The Los Blancos moved past Atletico in the round of sixteen. And now they will be facing the Gunners in the quarter-finals next month. The Premier League side progressed to the next round with a dominant performance against PSV.

Real will be making sure that they are ready for the challenge. This season has been hard for them in terms of injuries. They will be missing Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao after they picked up a ACL injury. They both will miss the rest of the campaign.

The Spanish giants must want their key players to be available for the UCL fixtures. Without their stars, it would be a very hard battle against the north London side.

Midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni will be out of the first-tie due to suspension. He has been solid in the middle of the pitch for Carlo Ancelotti.

There were other players also who could have been suspended. But, the Frenchman was the only one who received a yellow card. That means he will miss the first-leg at the Emirates. He will be waiting for the reverse fixture to be played at the Bernabeu.

Mikel Arteta to miss few players against Real

According to Mundo Deportivo, Arsenal is likely to be without few stars for the first-leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus will be out due to injury.

Havertz’s loss might be more impactful. He is their top scorer with 15 goals. Gabriel has also has seven goals this season.

Otherwise, Bukayo Saka has been out from December. But it is hoped he will be back in April for their match against Real Madrid.

Arsenal will also be without Raheem Sterling due to suspension. He received a yellow card against PSV Eindhoven in the last seconds of play.

Jurrien Timber and Gabriel Martinelli, both, have two yellow cards. And if they receive another one during the first-leg against Real Madrid, they will also miss the second leg.
