Warriors’ Steve Kerr Makes Steph Curry Announcement on Friday

The Golden State Warriors are set to face the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night.

Ahead of their 8 p.m. ET matchup, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr spoke with the team regarding the injury of Stephen Curry.

Curry has been sidelined with a pelvis injury. The last time Curry hit the floor was March 21 in a 117-114 win over the Toronto Raptors. He finished that game having played 25 minutes, posting 17 points, two rebounds and one assist.

While Curry has been nursing a pelvis injury and missed the last two games for the Warriors, Kerr announced that he will be returning to the lineup against the Pelicans, per Anthony Slater.

So far this season, Curry has averaged 24.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game, leading the Warriors in average points.

He's led the Warriors to the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference standings. They're sitting at 41-31 on the season, having lost two straight games.

As the Warriors make their final playoff push, the health of Curry and the rest of Golden State's roster is vital. Curry is looking to obtain his fifth NBA title while helping newly acquired star Jimmy Butler win his first ring.

Butler was traded to the Warriors ahead of the NBA's trade deadline and has since brought a newfound spark to the team.
