Warriors Make Massive Stephen Curry Announcement Ahead of Pelicans Game

The Golden State Warriors are on the road on Friday night as they take on the New Orleans Pelicans at the Smoothie Kings Center.

Golden State enters Friday's contest amid a two-game losing streak and they are coming off a loss to the Miami Heat on Tuesday in Jimmy Butler's first return to Miami since the trade.

The Warriors had been one of the hottest teams in the NBA before their two-game losing skid and they will look to turn things around on Friday when they play a Pelicans team that has dropped seven of their last 10 games.

Of course, the headliner for Friday's matchup was the availability of Warriors superstar guard Stephen Curry as he has missed their last two games due to a pelvic contusion.

Curry suffered the pelvic contusion in last Thursday's victory over the Toronto Raptors after he took a hard fall in the third quarter and the Warriors have missed him while he has been sidelined.

Ahead of Friday's game, head coach Steve Kerr said that he expects Curry to play against the Pelicans.

This is massive news for Golden State as they have struggled without Curry in their lineup and with them falling to seventh in the Western Conference standings, they cannot afford to lose to a beat-up Pelicans team that is missing a lot of their star players, including Zion Williamson and C.J. McCollum.

With Curry returning, the Warriors will look to put their recent struggles behind them and chase down the Los Angeles Clippers for sixth in the West standings with the playoffs right around the corner.

While Curry is expected to return on Friday, Kerr did not mention if he would be on a minutes restriction but the Warriors may put him on one just to be on the safe side.

Fans can catch Friday's matchup between the Warriors and Pelicans at 8:00 p.m. EST.
