With six-time All-Star Jayson Tatum sidelined due to an ankle injury, the Boston Celtics extended their win streak to seven with a 132-102 victory Wednesday night against the Phoenix Suns. The win simultaneously ended the Suns' four-game winning streak as they fell back down to the 11th seed in the Western Conference.
Boston was led by one-time All-Star Kristaps Porzingis who supplied 30 points and eight rebounds on 10-for-15 shooting with four three-pointers made.
This was the first game Tatum was forced to miss since rolling his ankle by landing on Domantas Sabonis' foot. Tatum has played in 66 of the Celtics' 73 games this year, assisting them in reaching the second seed in the Eastern Conference where they sit presently.
After just one missed game, though, the injury report for Saturday night's matchup with the San Antonio Spurs immediately turned heads.
In an injury report that only included Payton Pritchard and Xavier Tillman, the Boston Celtics announced that the four-time All-NBA member is officially listed as available after missing one game due to an ankle injury.

The former No. 3 pick in the draft out of Duke has established quite a positive reputation for his durability. Since being drafted in 2017, Tatum has never had a regular season in which he played less than 64 games, and that continues this season.
After winning a championship and gold medal in 2024, Tatum has followed up by having career numbers this season. He is averaging 27.1 points (second-best in career), 8.7 rebounds (second-best in career), and 6.0 assists (career-best) per game on 45.5% shooting with 3.6 threes made (career-best).
