Nuggets Provide Jamal Murray Update Ahead of Jazz Game

The Denver Nuggets are at home on Friday night as they host the Utah Jazz.

Denver enters Friday's contest amid a recent rough stretch as they have dropped five of their last 10 games, but they ae coming off a victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday.

They will now look to pick up another victory on Friday against a Jazz team that is amid a four-game losing streak and has lost nine of their last 10 games.

Of course, the Nuggets entered Friday's contest having quite a few of their key players on their injury report that was headlined by their star duo of Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray.

Ahead of their game against the Jazz, the Nuggets announced that Jokic will be available for Friday's game despite dealing with a lingering ankle issue.

This will be Jokic's second game back after missing five consecutive due to multiple injuries.

For Murray, Denver has ruled him out for Friday's contest due to a hamstring injury that he suffered in Wednesday night's win.

Of course, Murray had missed two games over the last two weeks due to an ankle injury but he had since returned from that. Now, he will miss at least one game with a hamstring injury.

This is a major blow for the Nuggets as Murray has been arguably their best player outside of Jokic as of late.

With Murray sidelined, the Nuggets will turn to Russell Westbrook to fill in for him at the starting point guard position where he has thrived at times this season.

Denver also announced that Christian Braun, Aaron Gordon and Michael Porter Jr. are all available for Friday's game against Utah after they were listed as probable heading into the matchup.

Fans can catch Friday's matchup between the Jazz and Nuggets at 9:00 p.m. EST.
