DENVER – The first quarter was not a pretty one for the Utah Jazz but they shocked the Denver Nuggets by making up for it early in the second.
After trailing by 11, Utah outscored Denver 22-13 to close the lead to just two.
Great fight from the @utahjazz youngsters in the second quarter who have trimmed the @nuggets lead to 4, 39-35.

The difference makers were Keyonte George and Kyle Filipowski, whose three-point makes helped the Jazz find their range.
After shooting 0/8 from deep in the first, Utah shot 5/10 to start the second.
Isaiah Collier wasn’t able to add to the point total but remained an effective playmaker. His five first-half assists brought him within single digits of John Stockton’s rookie assist record.

Denver was able to pull it together a built as halftime drew closer.
Over the final five minutes of the first half, the Nuggets outscored the Jazz 18-10 to regain a double-digit advantage at the break.
Utah Jazz Start Final Extended Road Trip In Denver
The Utah Jazz begin their final multi-game road trip of the season in Denver against the Nuggets tonight.
The month of March hasn’t been kind to the Jazz. They are 1-14 since the start of the month. The silver lining is that the skid has dropped them to the worst record in the NBA, which bodes well for lottery odds in May.
The Nuggets are currently the third seed in the Western Conference. However, in their last 10 games they are 5-5 with concerning losses to teams like Chicago and Washington. With Nikola Jokic playing at an unreal level, Denver will look to build up some confidence and get back on the horse with the Jazz in town.
This is the fourth and final matchup between Denver and Utah this season. The Nuggets are 3-0 in the season series with an average victory margin of over 18 points.
