Westbrook recorded 17 points and seven assists in Saturday’s game, bringing his career assists total to 9,892 and moving past Robertson, who finished his career with 9,887, for eighth place on the all-time list.

Westbrook and Robertson share a unique statistical legacy. Before Westbrook, Robertson was the only player in NBA history to average a triple-double for an entire season. Westbrook matched and then exceeded this feat, becoming the second player to do so in the 2016-17 season while with the Oklahoma City Thunder. He later accomplished it two more times.

This season, Westbrook has been a dependable presence for the Nuggets, averaging 13.2 points, 6.2 assists, and 5.0 rebounds over 68 games, bringing valuable experience and energy to the team.
