Steve Kerr Updates Steph Curry’s Health After Return Against Pelicans

The Golden State Warriors could not have been more excited to welcome superstar point guard Steph Curry back to the court on Friday night against the New Orleans Pelicans.

After missing action since his last game played in over a week on March 20, Curry made his return with the regular season quickly winding down. He played 34 minuets against the Pelicans and looked like his normal self.

Curry scored 23 points to go along with six assists, four rebounds, and three steals. He only shot 7-for-21 from the floor and 5-for-16 from the 3-point line, but he made an impact on the game.

Behind Curry's return, the Warriors won the game by a final score of 111-95.

Following the game, head coach Steve Kerr spoke out with an update about Curry's health. The update will make Golden State fans happy.

"Looked like himself," Kerr said. "I think the week off did him a lot of good."

Anthony Slater of The Athletic also shared a video of Curry talking about the injury and his current health after the game. Curry said that his most recent injury reminded him of his tailbone issue back in 2021.

Steph Curry said his recent injury reminded him of that hard fall on his tailbone in Houston back in 2021. But this one isn't as bad. Deep contusion as opposed to hairline fracture in 2021.

After beating New Orleans, Curry and the Warriors have just nine games remaining in the regular season. They are still battling for playoff seeding.

Right now, Golden State holds a 42-31 record, which is good enough for the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference. If that positioning holds, the Warriors would need to win in the play-in tournament to get into the playoffs.

Next up for Golden State will be a Sunday evening matchup against the San Antonio Spurs.
