Manchester United are one of the “three biggest English clubs” pursuing Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen, according to reports in Spain.
Man U News shared claims from Italy in January that the Red Devils are interested in the Spanish international and Madrid-based publication AS now confirms that Ruben Amorim’s side are battling the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool for the player’s signature.
Huijsen has been a hot topic of conversation over recent days, having made his debut for his country, and there is now growing speculation about his future.

The 19-year-old is known to have a release clause in his contract with Bournemouth, which would allow him to leave the Vitality Stadium for £50m this summer, and it is more than likely that at least one club will trigger it.
Huijsen has been tipped to go to the very top
The youngster was sent out on loan to Roma when he was still at Juventus last season. When asked about Huijsen’s potential, his manager Daniele de Rossi said that the sky is the limit for him:
“Huijsen is becoming more and more mature. He does a lot. He’s very smart. He doesn’t look 18-years-old on the field. He knows what he is doing. But sometimes a little too well. (Huijsen) is good with the ball at his feet, but sometimes a little too calm.”
“I think he needs to learn some more ‘Italian tricks’ in his own box. If he does that, he will become one of the best players in the world.”
United are not favourites to sign the centre-back
Despite the clear interest from the Red Devils, AS report that the teenager’s most likely destination is Real Madrid.
Huijsen is said to be a “fan” of the La Liga giants and, when asked about a potential switch to the Bernabeu last week, he did not play down the prospect of it happening:
“It makes you proud that such a big team is interested in you. I’ll keep working and being humble.”
