Three of the seven players Aston Villa signed in the last summer transfer window are yet to make their debuts in claret and blue.
It was a tricky window for the club, as they worked around the clock before the June 30 accounting deadline to raise funds while also recruiting the likes of Lewis Dobbin, Ian Maatsen, Enzo Barrenechea, and Samuel Iling-Junior.

Once they complied with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules, Villa brought in Ross Barkley, Jaden Philogene, and Amadou Onana, while Moussa Diaby followed Douglas Luiz out the door.
In January, Villa sold Jhon Duran to Al-Nassr for £65m plus add-ons, while Philogene left permanently for Ipswich Town as Monchi recruited another five players, including three loanees.
Here are six players who completed transfers to Villa in recent years but are yet to make an appearance...
Enzo Barrenechea
Barrenechea has excelled at Valencia in recent months, starring under new manager and former West Bromwich Albion boss Carlos Corberan.
He has made 21 La Liga appearances so far this term and is developing into a fine midfielder, capable of making the step up to the Premier League next season.
Emery and the club's footballing department will have a big decision to make on Barrenechea's future once the season is over, considering he will attract interest from elsewhere.
Samuel Iling-Junior
Iling-Junior has already made his debut at Villa Park—but for Bologna back in October.
He came on as a substitute for the Italian side despite being on loan from Villa, as UEFA competitions permit players to play against their parent clubs.
After struggling for game time in Italy, Iling-Junior joined Middlesbrough on loan for the remainder of the season in January.
The winger has made eight league appearances under Michael Carrick, starting three times so far.
Lewis Dobbin
Like Iling-Junior, Dobbin was also recalled and sent back out on loan during the winter window.
He failed to make an impression at West Brom in the first half of the campaign and rarely started a game in the Championship.
However, at Norwich City, Dobbin began to find form, scoring twice in the space of a month and impressing under Johannes Hoff Thorup.
A serious calf injury has all but ended his season, but Norwich's manager has expressed interest in extending the forward's stay at Carrow Road into next season.
Lino Sousa
Sousa joined Villa in January 2023 from Arsenal and was immediately sent on loan to Plymouth Argyle in the Championship.
The left-back didn’t get much game time at Home Park last term and later joined Bristol Rovers in the summer.
He has played 24 games in League One this season, starting 14 times for the Gas.
Josh Feeney
Centre-back Feeney joined Villa's academy from Fleetwood Town in July 2021.
He was part of Emery’s squad on the pre-season tour of the USA last summer after a loan spell at Real Union in Spain.
Feeney has been playing his football on loan at Shrewsbury Town this term. Despite their perilous position in League One, the Villa loanee has impressed at New Meadow.
A former England youth international, Feeney last signed a contract with Villa in the summer of 2023.
Kerr Smith
A few months after Feeney's arrival, Smith joined from Dundee United in January 2023.
Smith made his debut against Rangers in February 2021 and made 12 appearances before moving to the Midlands.
In January 2024, Smith headed back to Scotland to gain experience on loan at St Johnstone.

Smith has also represented his country, making his debut for the Under-19s in November 2021.
