Woman slaps security officer at Prophet’s Mosque, police probe viral video

Dubai: Madinah Region Police confirmed that they responded promptly to a viral video showing a woman slapping a security officer at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
The video, which quickly circulated online, shows a woman attempting to use an unauthorised walkway in the mosque’s courtyards. When a security officer advised her to take an alternative route, she refused and slapped him on the face. In response, the officer slapped her twice.
The Saudi General Directorate of Public Security issued a statement on Saturday, March 29, confirming that the police intervened immediately and completed all necessary legal procedures in accordance with regulations.
Authorities have not disclosed the woman’s nationality or provided additional details about the altercation. They reiterated their commitment to upholding the law and ensuring the safety of security personnel.
