“We welcome the leadership of the US Administration, and of President Trump personally, in the process of achieving a lasting peace for Ukraine as soon as possible,” Yermak said.
He said dialogue that took place at the technical team level was “constructive” and covered the ceasefire concerning energy and other civilian infrastructure, maritime safety in the Black Sea, and humanitarian issues.
Yermak also discussed the outcomes of the leaders’ summit on support for Ukraine in Paris, which he said demonstrated the unity of European countries in assisting our state, while pointing out the importance of transatlantic cooperation with the US.
He noted the adoption of new assistance packages, support for the Czech initiative to supply ammunition, and France’s decision to allocate an additional EUR 2 billion. Additionally, the discussion covered security guarantees for Ukraine and the deployment of partner forces following the conclusion of a peace agreement, according to the Presidential office

Four people were killed and 19 more were injured in the city of Dnipro as a result of a massive Russian drone attack.
Yermak reaffirmed Ukraine’s sincere aspiration for peace while stating that Ukraine’s stance on sanctions remains uncompromising:
“Ukraine has always taken a constructive stance and fully supports the US. Administration’s approach to an unconditional ceasefire. However, the Russian side is deliberately dragging out the negotiation process, creating new obstacles, while the shelling of Ukrainian settlements does not stop, attacks on the front line persist, and new military groups are being formed on the territory of the aggressor country.”
“The lifting of any sanctions against Russia while the war continues is unacceptable. On the contrary, there must be a readiness for a decisive response if Russia attempts to sabotage the agreements. It is crucial that we have received confirmation of this position not only during yesterday’s leaders’ meeting in Paris but also during our conversation today.”
The briefing was attended by representatives of Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Italy, Japan, the European Council and the European Commission.
