Liverpool are reportedly feeling ‘confident’ about securing the signature of Alexander Isak from Newcastle United in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old striker has been in sensational form this season, scoring 23 goals and providing 5 assists in 33 appearances. His impressive performances have played a key role in Newcastle’s success, including their Carabao Cup victory and strong push for a Champions League spot.
Isak’s performances have not gone unnoticed, and several top clubs are keen to sign him. Liverpool and Arsenal are among the frontrunners in the race to land the talented forward, with Newcastle bracing for offers.
However, the Magpies are in a much stronger negotiating position than last year, when they faced financial challenges related to Profit and Sustainability regulations.

Liverpool willing to break transfer record for Isak
Isak is under contract with Newcastle until 2028, and the club has reportedly set a hefty price tag of £120 million for their prized asset.
Despite this, Liverpool are said to be ready to meet these demands, potentially breaking their club transfer record, which was set with the signing of Darwin Nunez.
Sources from TheBootRoom suggest that Liverpool are determined to secure Isak’s services, seeing him as their number one target for the summer.

In addition to financial offers, Liverpool are also willing to explore a player swap deal. The Reds are open to offering players like Joe Gomez, Harvey Elliott, Ben Doak, and Jarrell Quansah, who have been linked with moves to Newcastle in the past.
However, it’s important to note that Liverpool will not include Nunez in any potential deal, as Newcastle have no interest in bringing him to St. James’ Park.
With Liverpool’s transfer plans focused on a major summer rebuild, they’re hoping that securing Isak will help them get back to competing at the highest level. If they can pull it off, it could be a huge boost for their attacking options next season.
