Everton will be hoping they are able to keep Jarrad Branthwaite on Merseyside this summer.
Recent developments with the England national side has seen significant questions thrown up over Branthwaite’s future.
The FA have reassured Branthwaite over his England prospects whilst remaining with the Toffees.
However, that has not prevented the speculation from growing significantly ahead of the summer transfer window.
Simon Jordan has slammed Branthwaite claiming he has not shown enough yet to demand a big move.
But interest from some of the Premier League’s top sides has grown over recent months in the 22-year-old Everton defender.
And it seems as if Branthwaite has now made a fairly significant decision over his future.

However, Manchester United hold interest in Brathwaite too and they will need to win the Europa League if they’re to have any hope of playing among Europe’s elite.
It really does feel as if the speculation is beginning to pick up surrounding Branthwaite currently, following his England snub.
Everton want Branthwaite to sign a new contract, but the reports circulating would suggest that may prove a real difficulty.
International setback has changed everything for Branthwaite
Prior to the England squad announcement, it felt as if Everton were in a good position to land Branthwaite on a new contract.
Speaking in a media event, Branthwaite said he wanted to captain Everton at Bramley-Moore when it opens.
However, being snubbed by Thomas Tuchel seems to have put a real spanner in the works for the Toffees.
The irony in all of is Marc Guehi – who started against Latvia – is a player who has never played any form of European football with Crystal Palace.
So there is clear evidence that Branthwaite does not have to leave Everton to be considered by Tuchel.
