Bournemouth have identified Caoimhin Kelleher as one of their top targets to strengthen in goal this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The Cherries are prepared to rival both Premier League and foreign clubs for the 26-year-old who is widely expected to leave Liverpool this summer.
However, a permanent move to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga remains their first choice as he has become a key player during his season-long loan spell.
Football Insider revealed on 25 March that Kepa is Bournemouth’s number-one target if they can agree a reasonable fee with Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed on 14 February that Liverpool will demand £30-40million for Kelleher amid growing interest in his signature.
There are question marks over whether Bournemouth would be able to meet that asking price, but European qualification would prove a significant boost for them.

Chelsea to rival Bournemouth in Caoimhin Kelleher bid
Mick Brown told Football Insider on 18 February that Chelsea are prepared to meet Liverpool’s asking price for Kelleher this summer.
The Blues are targeting a new shot-stopper this summer amid concerns about Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen, and the Ireland international is on their list of targets.
He has impressed when filling in during Alisson’s injury absences over the last few seasons and quickly become one of the most highly-rated options in Europe.
However, Liverpool are preparing for the arrival of Giorgi Mamardashvili this summer after a year on loan at Valencia, and are planning to move Kelleher on to make room.

Andoni Iraola emerges on Tottenham’s list of targets
On top of their attempts to strengthen their squad this summer, Bournemouth are also facing a battle to keep hold of their valuable assets both on and off the pitch.
Brown told Football Insider on 24 March that Andoni Iraola is Tottenham’s top target to replace Ange Postecoglou if they decide to pull the trigger in the coming weeks.
It is believed that failure to turn results around between now and the end of the season will see Postecoglou dismissed from his role.
However, Bournemouth are doing all they can to keep their best players and their manager at the club after a successful Premier League season so far.
