Hello and welcome to the Manchester United transfer blog on Saturday, March 28.

The international break is over, but United fans have to wait a little longer to see their team in action again. The defeat to Fulham in the fifth round of the FA Cup ensured that this weekend is without a fixture for the Reds. Fortunately, the football returns in earnest midweek when United visit Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

MEN Sport reported this week that United are aiming to sanction the permanent exits of ten players this summer. As for incomings, Ruben Amorim wants to sign a new goalkeeper and the expectation is that United will try to sign a winger after missing out on Geovany Quenda to Chelsea.

Without European football at Old Trafford - and in particular the Champions League - United will miss out on pots of cash which can rise above £100million in any given campaign.
