Leeds United fans will currently be focused on their side’s pursuit of promotion to the Premier League, but Crysencio Summerville has now given them something else to think about.
Daniel Farke‘s side still have it all to play for in the Championship after a disappointing March so far, with two draws, a loss and just one win.
Sheffield United now find themselves sitting pretty at the top of the table after a comfortable win over Frank Lampard’s Coventry City, which has put the pressure firmly back on the Whites.
Leeds United have the power in their own hands though, so there’s no need for the mind to be wondering elsewhere to think about Burnley’s results.
Regardless, it seems as if there’s a former player who still has Leeds United on his mind, as Crysencio Summerville has had some rather interesting words to say about the Whites.
Crysencio Summerville hits out at Leeds United fans over underappreciation at Elland Road
Crysencio Summerville left Leeds United last summer as he secured a £25m plus add-ons move to Premier League side West Ham United.
Things haven’t gone too well for the winger since making the move to the English capital, as he’s scored just one goal and assisted twice in 22 games, as well as struggling with an injury.

Now, it seems as if some of his frustrations at West Ham have boiled over and Leeds United are taking the brunt of it, as he answered Q&A questions on the club’s official website recently.

He was asked, ‘can you talk us through your celebration and why you do it?’
The winger responded.
“I felt that people were sleeping on me [at Leeds United] because I thought it was my time last season, so my celebration came from that. I scored many goals, but people still didn’t appreciate it, and that’s why I did the celebration. I kept it because kids and people, they loved it, so now I’m just doing it.”
Crysencio Summerville’s criticism slightly bizarre
Considering the fact that Summerville still has his Leeds United memorabilia next to his TV, perhaps this comment is a little unexpected.
After all, Leeds fans have shown no ill feelings towards Summerville since his departure, and even took to social media to celebrate his goal against Manchester United.
