UConn Huskies women's basketball star guard Paige Bueckers is having a senior season for the ages. Bueckers is scoring 19.2 points per game, which is good, but was is more impressive is the efficiency she is playing with.
Bueckers is in the elusive 50-40-90 club this college basketball season, which means she is shooting , 50% from the field, 40% from three-point territory and 90% from the free throw line. In addition to her excellent shooting efficiency, Bueckers leads the nation in assist to turnover ratio (3.8).
No other player in college basketball, the WNBA or the NBA is in the 50-40-90 club and leads the country in assist to turnover ratio, according to ESPN.
Bueckers' efficient scoring and playmaking is a big reason why UConn is among the national title favorites and why she is projected to be the No. 1 pick in the 2025 WNBA draft.
Bueckers scored a career-high 34 points (tied) in her final home game with UConn. The Huskies are coming off a dominant 91-57 win over South Dakota State in the NCAA Tournament.
Bueckers and the Huskies (33-3) play the Oklahoma Sooners (27-7) in the Sweet 16 on Saturday, March 29 at 5:30 p.m. ET.
UConn is looking to win its 12th national title. The Huskies have not won a national title since 2015-2016.
