Speaking to Sportbible, Terry included a Liverpool player in his Mount Rushmore of Premier League defenders.
He said about the Liverpool man, “I’m going to go [him], in terms of a bit more modern era to myself and Rio (Ferdinand).”
He explained his choice further, saying, “I just think he’s been an absolute stand-out.”
“The game looks very easy for him, very comfortable. I think he’s a top, top player.”
The player Terry was referring to is none other than Dutch star Virgil van Dijk.
Since joining Liverpool in 2018 for £75 million, Van Dijk has been a key part of the team’s success.
