DEM Party's co-chairs issue message for end of Ramadan

The co-chairs of the DEM Party, Tülay Hatimoğulları Oruç and Tuncer Bakırhan, extended their greetings for the Ramadan holiday.

In their statement, the DEM Party co-chairs said: "Holidays are special days when solidarity and fraternity are most deeply felt, bringing us together in shared emotions. We hope that this holiday will serve as an opportunity to overcome our shared hardships through solidarity, to nurture hope, and to embark on a new beginning.

We wish for Ramadan to open the door to a time when poverty, injustice, and inequalities come to an end, and where everyone can live in peace."

The co-chairs added: "Today, it is our collective responsibility to overcome the political and social tensions in our country through dialogue, democratic consensus, and negotiation. We are going through a period where we must feel and sustain the unifying spirit of holidays at all times. Instead of an approach that disregards the will of the people, we can resolve all our issues by respecting public choices, adhering to democratic principles, and embracing dialogue.

On this occasion, we wish for the realization of the Call for Peace and Democratic Society. The greatest celebration for Turkey will be the day peace is achieved.

With these sentiments, we wish that the Ramadan holiday brings peace and democracy to our 85 million citizens and freedom to all political prisoners. We extend our warmest holiday greetings to everyone."
