Report: Premier League club sense'ideal opportunity'to sign£29m Chelsea player, they have renewed belief

Chelsea’s first-team star is reportedly on the transfer radar of a rival Premier League club ahead of the summer.

The Chelsea squad does appear to be on the larger size, especially when you factor in all the players currently out on loan. Therefore, it’ll be interesting to see how busy things are at Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

Chelsea plan to sell several players in the summer window to help fund a transfer move for a new striker.

It’s interesting to note that the Blues also have the distraction of the Club World Cup tournament to deal with over the summer.

Aston Villa receive boost in pursuit to sign Chelsea star Noni Madueke

According to GiveMeSport, Premier League side Aston Villa are interested in signing Chelsea’s Noni Madueke in the summer transfer window and have renewed belief a deal may be possible.

Apparently, the Blues are giving indications that they will entertain offers for the 23-year-old right-winger at the end of the season.

It is understood that Villa’s recruitment team sense an ‘ideal opportunity’ to capitalise on Madueke’s uncertain future. If Chelsea receive a strong enough bid for the English attacker, they may be willing to cash in.

The report adds that Villa and Newcastle will be frontrunners for Madueke, who could be open to leaving West London if it becomes clear he could have limited game time where he is.

It cost £29m (Sky Sports) when Madueke moved from PSV Eindhoven to Chelsea in January 2023.

It’s been claimed elsewhere that Madueke is happy staying at Chelsea, even though he could have increased competition next season when 17-year-old rising star Estevao Willian joins.

Why Noni Madueke shouldn’t be sold as Aston Villa plot another Chelsea raid

Based off the 2024/25 season, Madueke is one of the few Chelsea attackers that can be pleased with their efforts and contributions so far.

The skilful winger is still a way of becoming the finished article, but he injects pace and directness when he plays.

Noni Madueke for Chelsea across all competitions in the 2024/25 season

Madueke is top of the pile when ranking Chelsea’s wingers this season, so cashing in on him may seem like a bit of an odd decision.

Villa have signed both Ian Maatsen (permanent) and Axel Disasi (loan) from Chelsea in the past year, with both deals working out fairly successful. It’s why we’re not surprised to hear they’re in the market for Madueke.
