According to NFL.com, the Jacksonville Jaguars need to address a few different positions in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Jaguars have needs at defensive line, cornerback, safety, offensive line, and wide receiver and the latest Matt Miller mock draft from ESPN+ sees the team fix their biggest issues.
Dan Parr of NFL.com said of Jacksonville's biggest needs, "New GM James Gladstone comes from the Rams, where they have a clear understanding of what a disruptive interior defensive lineman can do for a team. The Jaguars have made free-agent investments in their other areas of need, but there's still room to add on at each spot, with receiver and offensive line depth essential to giving Trevor Lawrence a chance to put together a complete season.
So, Miller's mock draft does just that, kicking it off with what looks more and more to be the pick on April 24.
Round 1, Pick 5: Mason Graham, DT, Michigan
"New Jacksonville general manager James Gladstone has talked about building up the trenches, and he can start doing that with the best defensive tackle in the draft. Gladstone was with the Rams when they traded up to draft Braden Fiske in Round 2 last year and might see a similar player in Graham -- but with more pass-rush upside.
Graham doesn't lose many reps and has the quickness to slice through blockers and dominate gaps. He had 7.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and 26 pressures this past season despite not being asked to attack the quarterback often. His well-rounded approach and ability would make him a cornerstone of the Jaguars' new defense."
Miller starts off his mock with a no-brainer. Graham is the best defender in the draft (who doesn't also play offense...). ESPN joins a number of other outlets in mocking the Michigan freak of nature to Jacksonville. Picking at fifth overall means there are plenty of elite talents available.
In Miller's draft, the next five picks were Tetairoa McMillan, Armand Membou, Jalon Walker, Jahdae Barron, and Ashton Jeanty.
Round 2, Pick 36: Mason Taylor, TE, LSU
"The Jaguars' release of Evan Engram indicates a rethinking on the type of tight end they desire. Taylor brings the seam-busting ability of Engram, but he showed strength in run blocking and an ability to play in-line at LSU. I considered wide receiver here, but the value and scheme fit of Taylor are too good to pass up."
Jacksonville cut Evan Engram loose, so now, they can upgrade at the position. Mason Taylor brings another level to the offense that Brenton Strange cannot. Taylor has that NFL bloodline and has been rocketing up draft boards over the last few months.
Round 3, Pick 70: Savion Williams, WR, TCU
"Let's give the Jaguars more playmakers and add a player who had six receiving touchdowns and six rushing touchdowns last season. Liam Coen could have fun scheming touches for him."
Could Savion Williams be the Robin to Brian Thomas, Jr.'s Batman? It has worked in Cincinnati with an elite playmaker in Ja'Marr Chase and a big-bodied WR2 in Tee Higgins. Williams is 6'5" and 212 pounds and can give the offense a completely different weapon for Trevor Lawrence.
Round 3, Pick 88: Craig Woodson, S, California
"Adding Eric Murray temporarily checks this need off the list, but not long term. Woodson is an elite hitter with the range to run alleys and make plays in the box."
The Jaguars go out and use their second third-round pick to find a better replacement for Andre Cisco who left for the New York Jets in free agency. He would be a great addition to the defense and would provide a much-needed boom in run defense.
The Rest
Round 4, Pick 107: Cobee Bryant, CB, Kansas
Round 4, Pick 126: Joshua Gray, G, Oregon State
Round 5, Pick 142: Caleb Rogers, OT, Texas Tech
Round 6, Pick 182: Drew Kendall, C, Boston College
Round 6, Pick 194: Antwaun Powell-Ryland, Edge, Virginia Tech
Round 7, Pick 221: Jack Nelson, OT, Wisconsin
