Manchester United initially feared Amad Diallo’s injury would rule him out for the remainder of the season.
It has been a turbulent season for Manchester United, although there is still a chance for Ruben Amorim’s side to win a trophy.
With United sitting in the bottom half of the Premier League table, the focus has switched to the Europa League after reaching the quarter-finals of Europe’s second-rate competition.
The only way for United to qualify for the Champions League next season is by winning the Europa League outright. It won’t be easy as Ligue 1 outfit Lyon will be our next opponent.
Since several key players are ruled out with injuries, Amorim will hope that some of them can return before the end of the season to help United achieve their objective.

Fabrizio Romano shares positive Amad Diallo injury update
Amad Diallo had just established himself as a key player under Amorim when he suffered an ankle injury in February.
It was initially feared that the winger would miss the rest of the season, but Amorim hoped Amad would return before the end of the campaign.
Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano has provided a further update on Amad, stating the winger is ahead of schedule but United staff are not willing to take any risks.

This is a huge boost for United and it means Amad could feature in Bilbao, where this year’s Europa League final is being held, if they can go all the way in the competition.
Five Manchester United players return to training
Although it’s too early for Amad to resume first-team training, Amorim was given a boost when he welcomed five players back to the group ahead of Tuesday night’s clash against Nottingham Forest.
The list of returnees includes three defenders: Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro.
On top of that, goalkeeping duo Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton are back training.
This means Amorim will have more options moving forward, which should benefit United between now and the end of the season.
There were three noticeable absentees due to commitments to international football – with Manuel Ugarte, Victor Lindelof and Noussair Mazraoui given extra time off.
