Doha, Qatar: Countries across the world have started making their announcement of sighting the crescent moon for Shawwal, marking the end of Ramadan and the first day of Eid Al-Fitr.
Australia confirmed the first day of Eid Al Fitr to be on Monday, March 31, 2025, adding that Ramadan will complete 30 days in the country.

Meanwhile Brunei, Malaysia also made proclaimed that Eid Al Fitr will be celebrated on March 31, adding that as the fasting began on March 2, Ramadan will last for 29 days.
Crescent sighting committees of Bangladesh, Indonesia, India, Pakistan have also confirmed that Eid Al-Fitr will be celebrated on Monday, March 31, 2025, with the Shawwal crescent expected to be visible to the naked eye tomorrow, Sunday.

United Arab Emirates daily Gulf News has quoted the Chairman of Emirates Astronomy Society anticipating that Ramadan will complete 30 days, resulting in March 30 as the last day of Ramadan with Eid Al Fitr falling on March 31, 2025.
Though official confirmation from the Moon Sighting Committees across the Gulf region are expected to meet on Saturday evening to determine the start of Eid.
