Manchester United defender Leny Yoro has shared an encouraging fitness update following the international break.
Yoro was spotted training at Carrington on Friday.
Speaking to MUTV, the 19-year-old said: “I feel really good, I am back in training today and [I feel] no pain. I am really happy with everything.
“Honestly, everyone in the club [has] helped me.
“Even with an injury in the middle of the season, the medical staff, the players, the fans, everyone was able to support me and this is something you need when you get a big injury.
“It has been really important for me.”
Yoro suffered an injury in the 1-1 draw with Arsenal and came off the bench at half-time.
He missed United’s last two fixtures but his return will be a massive boost for head coach Ruben Amorim.
The £52 million summer signing has managed just 21 appearances this season due to recurring injuries.
Initially excelling as a right centre-back, Yoro has recently adapted to the left side of Amorim’s three-man defence.
With Lisandro Martínez and Ayden Heaven sidelined, Amorim will be relying heavily on Yoro in the coming weeks.
He has settled into the side well and could be a big part of United’s future.
His return could see him start alongside Matthijs de Ligt and Harry Maguire when United take on Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Tuesday.
Yoro and Patrick Dorgu will have the onus to limit the attacking threat of former United starlet Anthony Elanga.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have been in impressive form this season and will fancy their chances against a struggling United outfit.
