What Newcastle United fans were spotted doing as Ant and Dec arrived at St James' Park for…

Newcastle United fans are preparing to meet the Carabao Cup trophy at the huge celebration event on Saturday.

It is an occasion that very few fans have ever seen before; the Newcastle United players will be presenting their latest piece of silverware in front of a packed crowd on the Town Moor.

The Magpies were dominant at Wembley almost two weeks ago, beating Liverpool 2-1 thanks to goals from Dan Burn and Alexander Isak, which saw them end a 70-year wait for a domestic trophy.

Burn was spotted celebrating at a darts event in Newcastle, where local player Chris Dobey paid tribute to the club by collaborating with fan group Wor Flags.

Newcastle have confirmed a full day of entertainment for fans on the Town Moor as they await the players – they are sure to be greeted with rapturous applause.

Alan Shearer will take part in a Q&A alongside his former attacking partner Les Ferdinand. The pair from the entertainers era will be joined by former Newcastle captain Bob Moncur and the women’s team, who recently beat rivals Sunderland at St James’ Park.

Ant and Dec have been confirmed as guests for the event after they were seen taking part in the celebrations at Wembley during the final. They arrived at St James’ Park earlier on Saturday, where Newcastle fans were spotted doing something incredible.

Ant and Dec were on the pitch at St James’ Park at the end of the 2021/22 season, taking pictures with the players. They were also hosts for Shearer’s testimonial game in 2006.

Although their careers have taken them all over the world, they have never forgotten their roots. Loved by many Geordies in the city, it comes as no surprise that they were given a warm welcome when they pulled up to St James’ Park.

The pair were mobbed by Newcastle fans who were eager to get a glimpse of the two local heroes. Both of them were more than happy to sign autographs and take pictures with everyone.

Who else will be joining Ant and Dec at Newcastle United’s celebrations?

Newcastle fans are set for a special day full of immense pride and unforgettable memories. The Magpies have rallied the troops and put together a strong line-up to accompany the trophy parade before the players get to the Town Moor.

As well as the Q&A with Newcastle legends, presenters Pete Graves and Lynsey Hipgrave will be joining Ant and Dec on stage to kick off the celebrations.

When the players arrive, they will do another trophy lift, similar to what was done at Wembley before taking a team photo with the crowd.

There will then be a Q&A with Newcastle boss Eddie Howe and the team before the event ends with a ‘Sela Spectacular Surprise’.

In between all the festivities, there will be live singers and a repeat of the final for fans to enjoy once again.
