Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has named his Nottingham Forest team to face Brighton and Hove Albion in tonight’s FA Cup quarter-final clash.
The Reds go into today’s match knowing they are just one win away from Wembley. Not since 1991 have they made it through to the last-four of the competition.
They will take on a Seagulls side eager for revenge after the 7-0 drubbing Forest dished out in last month’s Premier League fixture between the two teams. But Nuno expects it to be a very different game this time around.
Chris Wood bagged a hat-trick in that meeting with Brighton at the City Ground. However, the visitors will be without the front man on the south coast as he has been ruled out with a hip injury.
Nuno has made three changes to his starting XI from the 4-2 victory over Ipswich Town before the international break. Taiwo Awoniyi, Danilo and Ryan Yates step in for Wood, Hudson-Odoi and Elanga.
Ola Aina, Nikola Milenkovic, Murillo and Neco Williams will make up the back line ahead of goalkeeper Matz Sels. If Nuno sticks with his usual 4-2-3-1 formation, it seems likely Yates and Danilo will make up the midfield - although the Portuguese could opt to play three in the centre of the pitch.
Elliot Anderson and Nicolas Dominguez seem likely to start out wide, though, either side of Morgan Gibbs-White. Awoniyi will lead the line in Wood’s absence.
The bench will be made up of Carlos Miguel, Morato, Ibrahim Sangare, Hudson-Odoi, Harry Toffolo, Alex Moreno, Jota Silva, Elanga and Willy Boly. It is a return from injury for goalkeeper Miguel, who has been sidelined with a hamstring issue since the FA Cup win over Exeter City last month.
