Richarlison was a fan favourite at Everton before the Brazil international completed a transfer to Tottenham in 2022.

The Toffees spent a hefty sum to sign the centre-forward from Watford but made a decent profit when Spurs came calling for his signature.

Richarlison’s stint at Goodison Park was impressive, and supporters will undoubtedly want to see the 27-year-old return for a new era at Bramley-Moore Dock.

David Moyes could soon be without Dominic Calvert-Lewin as his contract expires at the end of the season, giving the Blues the perfect opportunity to pursue a deal for the Brazilian star.

The situation around number nines at Goodison Park isn’t encouraging with all the fitness issues up front.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

Moyes has had to rely on Beto as his starting striker, as he’s been the only fit option at the Toffees for some time now.

Armando Broja will most likely return to Chelsea once his loan spell at the Blues expires, and it wouldn’t make sense for them to bring the Albanian striker back after his injury woes in the current campaign.

Youssef Chermiti has also been absent at the Merseyside outfit over recent months, leaving them with a dearth of options in attack.

TFG must sanction Richarlison transfer next summer

Richarlison should be The Friedkin Group’s (TFG’s) first signing in the coming months.

The Brazil international hasn’t had the best of times since moving to Tottenham, but the Toffees could once again unlock his potential.

While the 27-year-old’s addition at the Blues next summer may be questioned due to his consistent fitness issues at Spurs, it’s a gamble worth taking.

Richarlison has already seemingly given the Merseysiders a transfer incentive after sharing a picture of himself in an Everton shirt on his Instagram story on 28 March.

With the Studio-Ghibli-style AI art trending right now, the 27-year-old shared a depiction of him holding a blue flare, invoking memories among the Goodison Park faithful.

Moyes has all but ensured the Toffees’ survival in the Premier League after going on an eight-game unbeaten run.

The Blues will have a chance to extend their impressive record in the Merseyside derby against Liverpool at Anfield on 2 April.

Once the season ends, TFG must get to work and back the Scottish manager with quality signings, and Richarlison could potentially be one of them.
