Alexander Isak and Kieran Trippier celebrate with the Carabao Cup Trophy
Well, they've done it. It wasn't a dream, it's definitely sunk in and Newcastle has once again paraded a piece of silverware around these hallowed streets after a 56-year wait.
Eddie Howe, his Newcastle United players and the club's backroom staff rode through the city in a black and white open-top bus, with thousands, young and old, flocking to different points of the route. Geordie royalty Ant and Dec were invited along for the ride too, interviewing the players as they took in the celebrations.
The bus travelled from St James' Park to the Town Moor, passing along Percy Street and onto the Great North Road. The celebrations continued at the Moor, with a big stage playing hosts to players past and present across the day. It is estimated 150,000 people will have taken in the celebrations at different stages of the festivities.
Take a look at our picture gallery to see Howe and his players enjoy the celebrations as they embarked from St James' Park.
