Pittsburgh Steelers interested in uber-athletic Temple safety

The Pittsburgh Steelers are showing interest in Temple safety Andreas Keaton after his strong pro day this past week. Keaton, who was a Western Carolina transfer, met with the Steelers following his pro day earlier this week.

According to Justin Melo of the Draft Network, Keaton ran a 4.47 40-yard dash, posted a 34.5-inch vertical, a 10-foot-3-inch broad jump, and ran a 7.2 3-cone drill.

Keaton became a captain for Temple and started all 12 games for the program in 2024. He made 67 tackles, had three pass breakups and an intercpetion, and played on special teams units.

That type of profile gives Keaton some upside to make a roster, especially with his plus athleticism. From the time he stepped on campus at Western Carolina, Keaton played for the Catamounts.

He was named the SOCON Freshman of the Year in 2021 and started over 30 games with the team over his three years there. By his Junior season, Keaton became one of the leaders of the team, earning captainship status.
