Deulofeu’s infamous social media post from his time at Everton about the window was referred to on Friday.

“Yes Sir,” said the former Udinese winger as he appreciated the reference to his old tweet.

This isn’t the first time the 31-year-old has interacted with his former club.

Back in September, Deulofeu shared his love for Everton following his time on Merseyside, where he played 75 times.

Gerard Deulofeu left Udinese in January

After enjoying a solid run in Italy with Udinese, Deulofeu was forced to terminate his contract following a serious knee injury.

“We have agreed to terminate the contract, but the relationship and support remain special,” he said.

Deulofeu’s time at Everton may not have provided a huge amount of goals, but the winger showed some real quality.

Given the Spaniard has been through a really difficult time with his injury decision, it will please a lot of fans to see the 31-year-old interacting with the Merseyside club.
