Hundreds of thousands of football fans lined the streets of Tyneside to salute their heroes following the club's historic win at Wembley a fortnight ago.

Players, local heroes and Geordie legends boarded a bus to parade through the streets of Tyneside to show off their Carabao Cup - the first domestic trophy won in 70 years.

Only a fortnight earlier, the club were celebrating after their victory against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final in Wembley.
But today marked the moment they celebrated on home turf in front of around 150,000 supporters.
