The Baltimore Ravens are enjoying a period of sheer and utter wealth at tight end.
Former Oklahoma Sooner Mark Andrews is the elder statesman at age 29, with 24-year-old Isaiah Likely and 26-year-old Charlie Kolar both entering their fourth seasons.
And it's because of the depth and success of the Ravens' tight end room that one writer thinks one of those players could be on the trade block.
Tyler Brooke of The 33rd Team thinks Andrews could be the odd man out and that he could stay on the East Coast, being shipped off to New York and the Jets.
"It might be time for a change of scenery for Mark Andrews. The veteran Baltimore Ravens tight end will be remembered in 2024 for his iconic drop against the Buffalo Bills, but even at 29 years old, the veteran TE had a strong season. However, that drop has left a sour taste in the mouth of the fanbase, and the Ravens have a pair of younger and promising tight ends on the roster, Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar, who could see bigger workloads in Andrews' absence.
"Andrews is a core part of Baltimore's locker room and leadership structure. It's not a guarantee that he'll be traded, but the front office should at least consider it if the right offer comes around."
While it's highly unlikely that the Ravens would move Andrews, it would be silly to not entertain offers. Andrews has been the one staple of the passing game for Lamar Jackson as Baltimore has struggled to find wide receivers who could succeed on the field.
The team spent a number of first-round picks on the wideout position, and while most faltered, Zay Flowers finally seems to be a suitable No. 1 option for Jackson.
Thinning out the herd at tight end seems like a horrible idea.
