Benjamin Sesko is wanted by at least four top European clubs(Milan, Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Manchester United) and according to the latest reports, the striker is finally ready to leave RB Leipzig.

Sesko had been linked with an exit last year as well, however, he remained at the club for one more season. Now, the rumours are suggesting that he wants a fresh challenge and as per a gentleman’s agreement, Leipzig won’t stand in his way.

How much will the interested sides have to pay for the 21-year-old?

The Slovenian international not only has a gentleman’s agreement with RB Leipzig but his contract also has a release clause which could rise to €80 million once the summer transfer window opens.

For a 21-year-old who’s scored 17 goals and provided 6 assists this season, any club will happily pay the aforementioned amount but according to a report by BILD, the Bundesliga side won’t wait for a team to trigger his release clause and will listen to offers of around €70 million.

Why doesn’t Benjamin Sesko want to join Bayern Munich?

Out of the four teams, Bayern Munich is obviously the biggest suitor but Benjamin Sesko is not too keen to play Harry Kane’s backup next season.

He wants to become the main striker at his new club and only if the Bavarians decide to sell Kane will Sesko consider a move to the Allianz Arena. Kane has been linked with a potential return to the Premier League but we doubt if Kompany will allow him to leave simply the England international still has a lot to offer.

If not Bayern then which side is the favourite?

Milan are the dark horses in this transfer race but if they do not qualify for the Champions League next season, it will be very hard for them to convince the striker.

Manchester United still have an UCL lifeline thanks to their current Europa League campaign but the Red Devils might eventually back off from signing Benjamin Sesko. United are being linked with other top strikers like Victor Osimhen and Gyokeres and at the same time fresh rumours are suggesting that the club is not looking to offload Rasmus Hojlund.

If Hojlund isn’t sold, we don’t think Man United will spend money on a new centre-forward.

As things stand, Arsenal seem to be the most logical choice for the 21-year-old because Mikel Arteta will get rid of both Havertz and Gabriel Jesus allowing Benjamin Sesko can easily come in and become the first-choice striker next season. Arsenal’s primary target currently is Alexander Isak but the club’s management could find it feasible to spend €70 million on the Leipzig forward instead of paying €110-120 million on Isak.
