More than 300,000 Geordies lined the streets of Newcastle to support Newcastle United’s Carabao Cup heroes.
For the day, the city of Newcastle became a sea of black and white as more than 300,000 fans lined the streets and fields to show their love for Newcastle United’s Carabao Cup-winning heroes.
Fans filled every nook and cranny of the city streets along from the Gallowgate, to Percy Street and down to the Town Moor. People were hanging off lamposts, on top of phone boxes and dangling out of windows to catch a glimpse of the Mighty Magpies, and their lovely, latest shiny addition.
Head coach Eddie Howe said he was left speechless by the Newcastle United fans lining the streets, when he addressed the thousands in attendance at the Town Moor.
Enough of the words, it’s the pictures you came for. So here’s the best of a remarkable day on Tyneside, showing how the party to end all Geordie parties kicked off in style.
