Watch as Sela produce breathtaking lights show to commemorate Newcastle United cup win

Newcastle United supporters were left dazzled as Sela - the club’s front-of-shirt sponsor - produced a magical lights show on the Town Moor.

Billed as a “Spectacular Surprise” beforehand, the events company has become renowned for going the extra mile on big occasions. Sela produced magical displays after the Magpies qualified for the Champions League two years ago - as well as in London ahead of the Wembley showdown earlier this month.

They also forged a fruitful partnership with The STACK to create an entertainment hub serving food and drink on St James’ Park’s doorstep. A deal worth around £25million per year to Newcastle, Sela - also owned by the Public Investment Fund - promised a grand showing on the Town Moor.

Thousands of supporters had already lined the Newcastle streets to watch the Carabao Cup bus parade. A huge turnout was expected given the Magpies ended 70 years without domestic silverware.

And they did not disappoint - with Eddie Howe and Co greeted by a wave of black and white. The trophy celebrations culminated in a mega event at the Town Moor with Sela closing the show.

Without wanting to spoil the “Spectacular Surprise”, NewcastleWorld has produced a gallery of the jaw-dropping lights show that was 70 years in the making...
