On Friday night, the Golden State Warriors defeated the New Orleans Pelicans, winning 111-95. The Dubs were led by Stephen Curry, who scored 23 points. Off the bench, rookie Quinten Post offered 15 points of his own.
The Pelicans were led by 18 points from Bruce Brown, who is looking to show his worth as he heads toward unrestricted free agency this summer.
Previously, the Warriors lost two games in a row, so getting back on track is very important before a postseason push. After the game, Steve Kerr gave his insight into what getting a win meant.
"We're clearly trying to get our rhythm back as a group," said Kerr. "Tonight will lead to that."
Curry has missed three of the last five games, and the Dubs lost two of those contests, so being without their best player certainly contributed to the losing effort.
The Warriors don't really have room for error. They are tied with the Clippers record-wise, but since they have already lost the season series tiebreaker, they must beat the Clippers outright in order to avoid the Play-In Tournament.
If all standings stay as they are through the season, the Warriors will have to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Play-In before having a first-round date with the Houston Rockets. If they lose that game, they will have to play either the Sacramento Kings or Phoenix Suns to set a first-round date with the mighty Oklahoma City Thunder.

Of course, the best course of action would be for the Warriors to get hot and pass the Clippers in the standings, but LA has won eight of their last ten games.
Fortunately, the Warriors are mostly healthy and should have an easy matchup against the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday.
