Class of 2025 defensive lineman London Seymour is reportedly no longer headed to Boston College after flipping his commitment.
London's father, Richard Seymour, is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The former first-round pick won three Super Bowl with the New England Patriots and earned First-Team All-Pro honors three times. Seymour also made seven Pro Bowls and was selected to the NFL 2000s All-Decade team.
London Seymour (6-foot-4, 305 pounds) plays for North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, Georgia. He is considered as a three-star recruit, ranking as the No. 123 player at his position (247Sports).
Five college football programs extended scholarship offers to Seymour, including Boston College, Colorado, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern and Marshall.
He originally planned to join the Eagles. Instead, Seymour will follow in his father's footsteps with the Georgia Bulldogs, according to 247Sports on Saturday.
Richard Seymour was teammates with Georgia head coach Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs back in the late 1990s. Seymour was an All-SEC First-Team selection in his first two seasons before earning First-Team All-America honors in 2000.
London Seymour will now have his opportunities to don the Red and Black in Athens.
He joins a loaded UGA class that finished at No. 2 nationally behind Texas. Georgia has recruited extremely well at the position and recently produced NFL defensive linemen like Travon Walker, Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis and Devonte Wyatt.
Seymour plans to enroll at Georgia in the summer before the 2025 season kicks off at home against Marshall on Aug. 30.
