Arsenal will have another match rearranged this season following Crystal Palace's 3-0 victory over Fulham in the FA Cup quarter-finals on Saturday.
Oliver Glasner's side deservedly booked their place in the Wembley semi-finals next month after goals from Eberechi Eze, Ismaila Sarr and former Gunner Eddie Nketiah secured their comfortable progression. However, the victory for the Eagles represents bad news for those who were planning to watch Arsenal vs Palace in the Premier League on Saturday, April 26.
That weekend has been chalked in for the FA Cup semi-finals and thus the Premier League fixture will need to be rearranged. An exact date for the game will be announced in due course but the options available are limited.
The Premier League is unlikely to move the fixture to the week commencing April 28 as that midweek is scheduled for the Champions League semi-finals. Arsenal will of course be competing in those should they manage to defeat Real Madrid over two legs next month.
Therefore, the most likely date for the rearranged game is Wednesday, April 23. Arsenal would be unable to play on the Tuesday as they are away at Ipswich Town the previous Sunday.
Of course, the Premier League may not choose a date near to the original fixture so this information is subject to change. The original clash with Palace had been chosen for Sky Sports television coverage and the broadcaster should show the rearranged game, whenever that is, but that is also subject to change too.
Arsenal return to competitive action on Tuesday night when they host Fulham at the Emirates Stadium.
