**DaysofPal-** The United Nations revealed that Israeli occupation forces have killed 830 people, including 174 women and 322 children, and injured 1,787 others in the Gaza Strip between March 18 and 25.
Maryse Guimon, the Special Representative of UN Women in Palestine, disclosed the figures during a press conference in Geneva, which was videotaped from Amman.
Guimon warned of the dire consequences for women and girls as fragile ceasefires continue to collapse in Gaza.
She highlighted the alarming scale of human loss, noting that the eight-day period saw an average of 21 women and over 40 children killed daily.
“This is not collateral damage; it is a war in which women and children bear the brunt,” Guimon stressed.
She pointed out that women and children account for nearly 60% of the victims, underscoring the indiscriminate nature of the violence.
The UN official described the situation as a “horrific testimony” to the disproportionate impact of the conflict on the most vulnerable populations.
With the resumption of Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza, the devastating toll continues to mount, demanding urgent global attention and action.
