Football star Jude Bellingham wants to be a big name in the United States, official papers have revealed. He’s just applied to trademark his England and Real Madrid shirt numbers alongside his initials with the US government.

And insiders reckon the move is paving the way for a future money-spinning transfer to an MLS side – just like David Beckham.

Papers filed by his firm Bello&Bello Ltd with the US Patent and Trademark Office show he wants the ability to sell goods like clothes, sportswear, booze, toiletries, and homewares in America. The application for the JB5 and JB22 trademarks has yet to be rubberstamped.

A source told us: “The US is a natural fit for Jude in the future. There’s no way he’d want be playing in the UK after life in Spain and the States would be a very lucrative draw for him.”

And we can reveal he has £12m in cash sitting in his bank accounts - at the age of 21.

This is money earned away from his £12.5m a year Real Madrid wages.

The England star has two firms—Bello&Bello Ltd and Belloball Ltd—set up to take in cash from ad deals and image rights from his club and national team, and they are stuffed with readies.

According to books filed to Companies House in December, Jude had £4.7m in readies and Bello&Bello and £7.5m in the second firm for the 12 months to February 2024.

He has £2.6m across both firms invested in high-interest “money market” accounts, and he spent £6,643 on office furniture for Bello&Bello.

Top players earn extra cash from clubs from the sale of merchandise like shirts that bear their “name, nickname, slogan and signatures, image, likeness, voice, logos, get-ups, initials, team or squad number.”

Earlier this month the Daily Star reported that Jude's stunning WAG - Ashlyn Castro - has been at the centre of a number of claims since it emerged she was dating Real Madrid star.

Castro made her relationship public with Madrid's latest Galactico last month when Bellingham returned from Real Madrid's clash with Manchester City in the Champions League with her.

But the relationship has been marred by rumours that she has been linked romantically with Michael B. Jordan and other celebrities, and there were claims that she had previously dated Lewis Hamilton and Jamie Foxx.
