European wrap: PSG step closer to 13th title in a row

**Paris St Germain** thrashed **St Etienne** 6-1 at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard and need just one more point to secure a record-extending 13th Ligue 1 title.

St Etienne took a surprise early lead through Lucas Stassin's header, but PSG levelled before the break thanks to Goncalo Ramos’ penalty and ran riot in the second half to edge closer to a fourth straight domestic crown and their 11th in the last 13 years.

Teenager Desire Doue fired a second-half double and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Joao Neves and 17-year-old Ibrahim Mbaye were also on the scoresheet as PSG equalled AC Milan’s all-time record for Europe’s top five leagues of 38 away league games without defeat.

**Monaco** climbed up to second as their 2-1 home win over fourth-placed **Nice** put PSG’s title celebrations on ice.

Nice led at the break through Jeremie Boga, but second-half goals from Mika Biereth and Breel Embolo ensured victory. Nice skipper Dante was shown a straight card in added time.

**Marseille** slipped one place down to third after a 3-1 defeat at **Reims**, who boosted their survival hopes.

Goals from Keito Nakamura, Mamadou Diakhon and Valentin Atangana put Reims in control before Valentin Rongier’s late consolation for the visitors.

Kylian Mbappe wheels away in celebration

In La Liga, **Real Madrid** moved level on points with leaders Barcelona thanks to Kylian Mbappe’s late winner in a 3-2 victory over **Leganes**.

The France striker’s first-half penalty was cancelled out by Diego Garcia and Dani Raba then gave Leganes a half-time lead before Real hit back through Jude Bellingham and Mbappe’s second.

**Atletico Madrid** lost ground on the top two after they were held 1-1 at **Espanyol**, who salvaged a point through Javi Puado’s second-half penalty after Cesar Azpilicueta had given Diego Simeone’s side the lead.

**Real Sociedad** beat **Real Valladolid** 2-1 at home and **Rayo Vallecano** boosted their hopes of a top-six finish with a 2-0 win at **Alaves**.

Harry Kane scored his 22nd Bundesliga goal of the season and Leroy Sane fired a double as **Bayern Munich** beat **St Pauli** 3-2 to move six points clear at the top of the table.

St Pauli’s Elias Saad cancelled out Kane’s opener before Sane’s second-half brace, with Lars Ritzka firing the visitors’ second to set up a nervy finish.

**Eintracht Frankfurt** jumped into second place after Mario Gotze struck the only goal in a 1-0 home win against **Stuttgart**, for whom Ameen Al Dakhil was sent off early in the second period.

Alassane Plea’s second-half header clinched **Borussia Monchengladbach** a 1-0 home win against **Leipzig**, who they leapfrogged into fifth place.

**Augsburg** were held 1-1 at **Hoffenheim**, **Werder Bremen** won 3-0 at bottom club **Holstein Kiel** and **Heidenheim** won 1-0 at **Wolfsburg**.

In Serie A, Kenan Yildiz’s close-range first-half finish was enough to clinch **Juventus** a 1-0 home win against **Genoa** in Igor Tudor’s first game in charge.

Tudor has replaced Thiago Motta after Juve slipped to back-to-back defeats and their win keeps them in fifth place.

**Roma** sit one place behind after a 1-0 win at **Leece** \- Artem Dovbyk struck a late winner - while **Como** drew 1-1 at home against **Empoli** and second-bottom **Venezia** lost 1-0 at home to **Bologna**.
