Eagles Predicted To Make Blockbuster Super Bowl Trade

Philadelphia Eagles starting tight end Dallas Goedert has been known as one of the best players at his position since he was taken in the second round of the 2018 Draft.

But with a cap hit of over $10 million this season, Goedert is looking for a new deal, and the Eagles are exploring options to try and ship the South Dakota State product out and to another team.

NFL Trade Rumors' Ethan Woodle believes there's one team that could be a perfect fit for the veteran - the Kansas City Chiefs.

"Chiefs send 2025 fourth-round pick, receive TE Dallas Goedert," Woodle said. "When scouting depth charts in preparation for this article, the Chiefs jumped out as a sneaky team to watch to add a tight end. The Kansas City offense suffered last year, with injuries to WRs Marquise Brown and Rashee Rice, as well as RB Isiah Pacheco, taking some real juice out of their attack...

"To that point, Goedert could help solve both problems. It's not that he would be Kansas City's starting tight end for a decade, but he can help boost the offense now and ease the transition whenever (Travis Kelce) retires."

With the aging Travis Kelce, it's not hard to see why the Chiefs would want a reset at the tight end position at this point.

But would the Eagles really give a top player away to a team they could very well see in the Super Bowl next year again?

Goedert has dealt with injuries in each of the last two seasons alone so it isn't a surprise that Philadelphia would look to move on from his large cap hit. But shipping him to a threatening team to their title wouldn't make much sense in that end.
