Player Ratings: Real Madrid 3-2 Leganes; 2025 La Liga

Full match player ratings below:

**Andriy Lunin—7:** Not at fault for the goals, was left with the opposition taking a shot from near the six yard box.

**Lucas Vázquez—4:** Exposed in transition and lacking the speed and athleticism to cover the gaps he leaves when venturing forward. Needs a more “pessimistic” attitude when the ball is on the opposite flank, occupying better spots in ““rest defense”.

**Antonio Rudiger—5:** Several unnecessary long distance shots to hurt Madrid’s rhythm and reinforce Leganes game plan. Playing with too many matches in his legs and it’s beginning to show.

**Raúl Asencio—7:** Applauded by the Bernabeu on multiple occasions with good sweeping up defensively.

**Fran García—6:** Better on the offensive end, getting into the final third and playing some dagger crosses.

**Eduardo Camavinga—6:** Modric and Camavinga struggled to deal with Leganes counter attacks and Diego, playing as a #10 for Leganes, got the better of both of them.

**Luka Modric—6:** Vertical passing and on-ball IQ never in doubt, but is easily sprinted past in midfield when in transition or trying to track runners.

**Jude Bellingham—8:** All of Madrid’s best play came from Jude Bellingham. Operating as a second forward, the Englishmen had less defensive shackles and could preserve his energy for the final third. Played the pass to Arda that drew the penalty, scored a poacher’s goal to level the game, and was influential throughout.

**Brahim Díaz—6:** Combined well with Jude and Mbappe but missed a huge chance in the first half to make it 2-1 in favor of Madrid.

**Kylian Mbappé—9:** The difference maker yet again. Two goals — the first a penalty, the second a free-kick. The first opened the scoring and the second settled the match with a game winner. This is why Mbappe was signed — that differential quality to earn a win.

**Arda Guler—7:** A positive performance from the teenage Turk taking advantage of a rare start. Earned the penalty that Mbappe converted and was a constant threat from the right wing.

**Substitutes**:

**Rodrygo—6:** Anticipated play well and pit-pocketed Leganes on more than one occasion.

**Vinicuis Junior—4**: Disappointing off the bench with his body and mind likely still in South America. Failed with his final pass on a great 2 v 1 sequence to give Mbappe his potential hat trick.

**Fede Valverde—7:** Solid at right back bringing greater security to the defense.

**Tchouameni—N/A:** Late substitute to help see out the match and secure the victory.
