Eagles Given Low Grade For Quiet Offseason

Following their dominant run in Super Bowl LIX, the Philadelphia Eagles knew that they would not be able to keep much of their pending free agents this offseason.

Few teams have lost as many starters as the Eagles have this offseason.

While Philadelphia's top core remains intact, they have tried to add some smaller contracts and low-risk free agents this offseason to bolster their depth across both sides of the ball.

Perhaps that is why no one should be surprised that the 33rd Team's Tyler Brooke graded the Eagles out to an offseason grade of just C+ as a collective group.

"No one should ever doubt Howie Roseman's ability to build a Super Bowl-caliber roster," Brooke said. "However, there might have been too many departures for the front office to replace through free agency, instead hoping to rely on finding key playmakers in the draft. Milton Williams and Josh Sweat leaving puts a big dent in the team's pass rush, while Mekhi Becton's departure puts a hole in the team's offensive line."

It's important to remember that the Eagles did not lose anyone from their young defensive core or dominant offense. With the main coaching staff returning, it's clear why Philly should feel confident going into 2025 even with the roster looking different.
