While Anthony Davis has been one of the NBA's very best big men over the years, plenty of people refuse to give him his due. A sizable contingent of fans have accused him of being supposedly lazy, soft and unmotivated, despite the large numbers he has consistently put up year in and year out.
After missing a few weeks with an adductor injury he suffered in his first game with the Dallas Mavericks, Davis is back in action. Although he's been struggling with his shooting since returning from that injury, he hit a new statistical milestone on Saturday versus the Chicago Bulls.
He became just the 11th player in NBA history to reach 18,000 points and 1,800 blocks for his career, and in doing so, he has joined some select company.
According to the Mavs, Anthony Davis became the 11th player in NBA history to record 18,000-plus points and 1,800-plus blocks.
Here are the other players on list that AD joins:
Hakeem Olajuwon, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Pau Gasol, Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan, David Robinson, Patrick…

In the first half of Saturday's game, Davis shot just 2-of-8 from the field, but his Mavs led 58-55 at halftime.
Coming into this game, he had career averages of 24.1 points, 10.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game, not to mention 10 All-Star game selections. He was the main chip Dallas got back in the much-maligned Luka Doncic trade last month.
Dallas currently ranks 10th in the Western Conference with a 36-38 record. If it is to win the play-in tournament and get to the playoffs, Davis will have to be dominant, especially since star guard Kyrie Irving is out for the season with a torn ACL.
