Thunder Make Unfortunate Announcement During Pacers Matchup

The Oklahoma City Thunder seem to be well on their way to win No. 62.

The club is already at its highest win total since arriving in Oklahoma City in 2008 -- with their previous record being 60 wins during the 2012-13 season.

Currently, they lead the Indiana Pacers by double digits early in the second half as their run of dominance looks to be continuing.

With a 61-12 record through 73 games played, it's hard to ignore the Thunder as a true contender. To make their record even more impressive, they've dealt with a handful of injuries to key players such as Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren, Isaiah Hartenstein and Alex Caruso.

While they're looking to get fully healthy late in the regular season, they need to find their best run of form just ahead of the playoffs.

Evidently, the Thunder are going to play right into narratives if they don't find the playoff success they are expected to have.

With a big lead over the Pacers in the third quarter, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has gotten plenty of help from Williams, Lu Dort and Cason Wallace.

Thunder make unfortunate announcement during Pacers game

One key Thunder player had to exit the contest with an injury, though, as Hartenstein has played just 14 minutes, having left with a hip injury.

"saiah Hartenstein (left hip soreness) will not return to tonight's game versus Indiana," Thunder PR announced.

The 7-footer has been brilliant for the Thunder this season, excelling in the paint and as an offensive hub at the top of the key.

Hip injuries have been a consistent problem for this Oklahoma City squad, and it'll be interesting to see how they manage players' health and injuries with the regular season winding down.

In the meantime, the Thunder are looking to put the Pacers away and continue their winning streak.
